Academic Overview
At Umlazi Comprehensive we are passionate to deliver a complete learning and understanding of technical subjects and our teachers are well trained and educated. Since 1991 when the school was opened Umlazi Comprehensive has been delivering good matric performance and since 1995 the school has reached a percentage that is greater than 90%.
The School has boarding students that attend a study period that start at 16:30pm to 19:30pm, this helps students a lot to reach good marks. Learners living at home have a study period from 14:00 to 16:00.

45% of learners are from places around the school which are peri-urban and township. It is pleasing to report that in spite of a number of hiccups, Umlazi Comtech has been able, over a period of seventeen years, to vigorously pursue its mission and objectives. Learners are performing well from the first grade until they graduate high school level. Our school has produced various strong learners who have gone on to achieve great things. Some of these learners have even returned to give back to a new generation. Working diligently as teachers at our school.
